Gnomes were once considered "earth elementals" who provided protection especially of buried treasure and minerals in the ground.  They were symbols of good luck and would be used to watch over crops and gardens or tucked into barn rafters to watch over livestock.  Myths claim that gnomes are sensitive to sunlight and it may even turn them to stone. 
 
I'm not sure the Witch Doctor will bring much luck with him but he is ready to cast a spell on your enemies.  The Witch Doctor is adorned with leg bones on his hat and finger tip bones around his waist.  He gaines all his power through his staff which proudly displays three shrunken heads.  Just like all gnomes, they wear their hats covering their faces to avoid the harsh punishment of sun which turns them to stone.  However, this gnome has a skeleton nose as his black magic has withered him to the bones.  There is a price to pay for dark magic but right now you can get this gnome on sale while he lasts.
